Program Overview
A Family Physician provides personal, primary, preventive, comprehensive, continuing, and coordinated healthcare to his patients. This holistic care is personal and is also in relation to the patient's family, his occupation and his community at large.
The NHG-AHPL Family Medicine Residency Program intends to provide all doctors with the best training experience so that they will be Family Physicians who are Competent and Capable. The main thrust of our program is to teach and guide you in acquiring the skills so that you will have the capability to maintain your competency for life.
The 3 year program will include attachment to other specialty to ensure that you have a broad-based training to enhance your effectiveness in your role as a Family Physician in the primary care setting.
